Diamond ring

The story of the diamond ring and the engagement ring going back to the XV. th century.

The gift of a diamond ring as an engagement gift I. Miksa began in 1477, when asked a hand of I. Burgundia Mary.
The fashion continued to increase in other nobleman's family also, later common people were allow to wear diamond jewellery and diamond rings. In the 17. century came new forms of diamond polishing.
They polished the diamond in oval, drop and other refined forms. The best polishers worked in Antwerp.
In 1871 the  De Beers brothers allowed some Dutch diamond hunter to explore the farm in Kimberly. The place was full of diamond. The news was spread quickly and the farm was full of treasure hunters.The De Beers Brothers sold their farm and moved away.
